CURRENT EXHIBTION:

THEEIGHTHSENSE

A cleverly coded couture piece, fashioned from materials responsive to real-time digital media, which change its colour remotely, bringing the digital to the physical.

THEUNSEEN aims to discover and investigate the human state by using a physical garment that reads human magnetism, translated through the sculpture by the use of colour and pattern.

For instance red portrays anger, nerves and anxiety, whereas green reflects teaching, sociality and people. Blue reveals calming, truthfulness and peace while white mirrors an inner state of sensitivity, intuitiveness and psychic ability.

#TechStyle – MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS BOSTON

Clothes that respond to the environment, dresses you can tweet, and garments that come off a 3-D printer ready to wear—all of these innovations are poised to have a profound impact on the future of the fashion industry. Designers have embraced these innovations and “#TechStyle” explores how the synergy between fashion and technology is not only changing the way designers design, but also the way people interact with their clothing. The exhibition, opening March 5th, draws on the MFA’s collection of contemporary fashion and accessories, and features key pieces from innovators.

Our collection of Magick Artefacts and Articles are available to buy in the MFA’s Gift Shop along with the A I R trio on show in Gallery 158.
